The weather stayed nice during the Washingtown Festival.  There was a show of "Oganetama-sama" by the artist Katsunobu Yaguchi.  "Oganetama" literally means "a giant ball of gold," while, compared to a deity who offers fertility by Katsunobu. So, it took me about 30 minutes to stretch canvas over my new longer and bigger stretcher frame. My fingers hurt lol. I used to spin it to do the job but now I have to move myself around it. A good exercise. It needs to be put over some gesso, when dry, ready to be painted. So, this year at the Washingtown Festival, I held a seminar called "Let's Introduce Yokai (=Japanese monsters & ghosts)." The show is in two months. It's been occupying my mind non stop. Last night tons of ideas bursted out of my head all at once. A friend of mine opened a shoe-repair shop called "Sole Survivor" on the Kensington Avenue, Toronto, Canada, this year.
