The weather stayed nice during the Washingtown Festival.  There was a show of "Oganetama-sama" by the artist Katsunobu Yaguchi.  "Oganetama" literally means "a giant ball of gold," while, compared to a deity who offers fertility by Katsunobu.

My friend Yu Takebe and I set up a booth to encourage contributions to "Oganetama-sama."  We prepared tons of "ema (=small wooden plaques)" on which participants wrote their prayers or wishes.  They were hung at one of the buildings of Washingtown.

You must be wondering what will happen to those plaques.  We will burn them at the end of the year in accordance with Shinto tradition.  So, do not worry.

ワシントン祭りの日は必ず晴れる！とまでは言いませんが（笑）

今回も天候が味方してくれたようです。無事お祭りに参加することが出来ました♪

大金玉様ご開帳！にちなんで限定絵馬にお気持ち＆願い事を奇願（きがん）してもらうブースを作らせていただきました。立ち寄って下さった皆様、ありがとうございました。頂戴したお賽銭は「和心団」に奉納させていただきました。

絵馬はどーなっちゃうの？！と行く末を案じている方もいらっしゃると思いますが、こちらで心を込めてお焚き上げさせていただきます。
