Upcoming...

The show is coming up in a week, with an artist friend of mine "Yu Takebe."  When I first saw his artworks, I instantly felt it would be amusing to place my paintings next to his.  It would be interesting compare between our different styles, while we share common interests in some ways.

The title "UCHIUMUSHI" literally means "the space bugs."  Although we are not reproducing the actual appearance of the aliens, rather engaged in expressing "the universe" in our preferred forms and medium.  

I've been preparing a couple of new paintings, also adding one of my old unfinished large paintings.  I've recently started getting back to it.  And I am liking this process of facing the past, mending and adding some new parts to it.

Anyway, here I am posting an invite for all to join our reception party on the 26th.  Our friend Casey White will be there giving out some music. (more info)

作品搬入まで一週間となりました。

武部君の作品を初めて見た時から「一緒に展示ができたらな」と思っていたので、希望が叶って嬉しいです。「ウチウムシ」＝宇宙＆蟲を共通テーマに、それぞれの作品を比較しながら楽しんでいただければと思います。

26日（土）はレセプションパーティを予定しています。

今回は（も）トモダチのケイシー・ホワイト君が友情出演出してくれちゃいます。
